How to Rip DVDs and Convert Videos to iPad?

A beautiful 9.7-inch high-resolution display makes iPad perfect for watching any kind of video: from HD movies and TV shows to podcasts and music videos. However, if you want to watch DVD movies or video files on your iPad, you need first rip DVDs and convert videos to iPad compatible video files and then transfer the output videos to iPad with the sync of iTunes.

Part 1. How to Rip DVDs to iPad Using DVD to iPad Converter

Step 1. Launch DVD to iPad Converter and Add DVD Movie

Click the "DVD to iPad Converter" button to launch DVD to iPad Converter.

Insert the DVD into your DVD drive and click the "Load DVD" button to import the DVD Movie.

Step 2. Output Settings

Extend the "Profile" list at the bottom of the interface to choose the output format. There are three presets for Apple iPad: iPad MPEG-4 Video(*.mp4), iPad H.264 Video(*.mp4) and iPad H.264 720p Video(*.mp4).

If you want to customize the output video, you can click the "Settings" button next to the "Profile field" to open the Settings window and set video resolution, frame rate, bit rate, encoder, etc. See the figure below:

Step 3. Click "Start" to Convert DVD to iPad

After making all necessary settings, press the "Start" button to start converting DVD to iPad.

Step 4. Transfer Output Video to iPad

Connect your iPad to PC and transfer the output video files to your iPad with the sych of the iTunes library.

Part 2. How to Convert Video to iPad Using iPad Video Converter

Click the "iPad Video Converter" button to launch iPad Video Converter. Import video files stored on your PC by clicking the "Add File" button. The other steps are the same as those of ripping DVD to iPad video.
